Since I have a summer birthday I will never get to celebrate it at school with my friends. To compensate for this travesty I decided to celebrate my HALF birthday! I know, great idea! Ms. Jennifer thought it was a great idea too:) My half birthday fell on January 29th and we had my party today at school. It was so much fun. Mommy brought a pink and purple decorated cookie cake along with some Hannah Montana paper goods. My friends were soooooo excited when Mommy showed up at snack time with the goodies. They sang me the 'Happy Half Birthday' song and then Mommy cut the cake and I handed it out to everyone. We all loved it and everyone was asking for seconds:)
While Mommy was visiting my classroom I also got to show her a few things that I had done before she got there. Every morning my class does several things as soon as we arrive. We do calendar, discuss the weather, etc. Another thing we do every morning is practice the alphabet and counting. Each morning a different student gets to stand up in front of the class and count/write from 1 to 10. This morning it was my turn and I was so excited to show Mommy how I did.

SUPER!!!!!!! I love it...I am going to send you some pointers that your teachers can let you smart boys and girls use when counting! They have stars and apples on them. I love the half birthday! I need to have one in the summer cause Aunt Jill's birthday always gets lost in the Christmas celebration! Do you think that would work for me? I love you....:)
Emma,
Love the half birthday idea. I know your class was excited too. Hope you had a great day. Nana will have to send another package and I'll be sure to put two stuffed animals in it. Maybe Claire will let you play with the puppy some. Hope you enjoy all the goodies. I love you all.
